Featured Projects.
Community Service Initiative.
This module affords students the opportunity to engage in socially valuable action while critically reflecting on the nature of their action and the problems it seeks to address. The goal is for students to develop a holistic awareness of the variety of problems that call for action; how such problems can or should be addressed; and, the relationship between the specifics of these problems and larger social and ethical issues.
Design Proposition.
This module considers the significance of a contemporary and relevant interior design proposition, which will be researched this semester and realized, in the final semester. Personal research, critical awareness of the present, and reflection in formulating a relevant proposition are key areas of learning. Student enable to research and prepare the site and brief for the final self-directed major project relevant to the area of interior design they wish to practice.
Professional Practice I
This module enhances students’ understanding of the design process in the context of business, to the level of the graduating interior designer. It aims to prepare the graduate for a smooth pathway to future employment through a thorough understanding of professional practices & conventions.
